Basically, there is no bait that does not get stuck at the bottom, and the more hidden the fish is, the easier it is to get stuck at the bottom. You must learn how to deal with the bait getting stuck at the bottom. Here are a few simple ways to deal with it.
1. Adjust the fishing line to a state that is neither loose nor tight, and shake it gently. Sometimes this method can easily solve the problem of getting stuck.
2. If it still doesn't work, you can shake it gently in different directions. If the fishing line is long enough and the environment allows, you can also shake the bait in the opposite direction of the hooked fishing line to save the bait. When doing this step, don't pull the fishing line with brute force, otherwise the bait will become very serious if it is slightly hooked;
3. Increase the force of pulling the fishing line moderately. If it is just hooked on plastic bags, small branches and other debris, it can generally be judged by hand. You can continue to use force and slowly and continuously drag the bait and the hooked object back;
4. If the fish hook is very firm, there are several other methods to try: when the hook distance is close, shorten the fishing line until the tip of the rod is as close to the hooked bait as possible, and shake it gently in different directions. When the hook distance is far, tighten the fishing line to a certain extent and then suddenly release it. Use the elasticity of the fishing line and the fishing rod to give the hooked bait a reaction force, and maybe a miracle will happen. If it doesn't work the first time, try it a few more times and try different angles.
It is not easy to pull out the lure when it is stuck on the bottom, because the bottom of the water is very complex, and it may get stuck on a tree stump, a broken fishing net, or a stone. In fact, if it gets stuck on a hard object such as a stone, it is very likely to be saved, but if it gets stuck on a broken fishing net, discarded clothes, a tree stump, etc., it is basically hopeless.
After trying all the rescue methods, the only way left is to pull the broken line. Pay attention to safety when pulling the line: wrap the line around your arm a few times. If you wear gloves, you can also wrap it around your hands. If you don’t wear long sleeves, you can wrap it around your legs or waist. Don’t wrap it around your bare hands or arms. The PE line is thin and tough, and it is easy to cut the skin. Pull hard in the direction where no one is. When you pull it off, the bait may bounce back, so be careful not to hit people. Don’t pull it directly with the fishing rod. Pulling hard may damage the rod or fishing reel. Even if the rod or fishing reel is fine, the line will be squeezed into the spool when pulling the line, and it is easy to explode the line when sinking and casting.
In summary, if the lure is stuck on the bottom, you can only pull it in the opposite direction or flick it gently. First, do not pull it hard if it is stuck on the bottom, and give priority to pulling it in the opposite direction. If the conditions for pulling in the opposite direction are not met, then consider flicking it, be patient, and there is still a chance of it popping out. Of course, if you really can't fix it, you can only pull it off and tie the bait again. There is no way for lures not to get stuck on the bottom, and only by minimizing the probability of getting stuck low can you reduce losses.
Methods not recommended
1. Cut the line. If you can’t rescue by hanging the bait, what’s wrong with cutting the line? First, after cutting the line, a long line is left in the water, which is very easy to get tangled when casting later, resulting in the bait hanging again, and this kind of bait is difficult to untie, basically making this punctuation useless; second, it wastes the line; third, if it is in the wild, the long line in the water may also get tangled around the hands and legs of the swimmer, which is life-threatening; fourth, the PE line is non-degradable and not environmentally friendly.
2. Go into the water to fish for bait. No matter how expensive the bait is, it is not as good as human life.
